Violence begets violence, it's wrong and evil. I will never align myself with cruelty and hurting others. I am in a profession that is about healing pain not inflicting it. I think when rational people on both sides say this is unacceptable, then, things can move in a positive direction for all.

When you passively agree, it's not helpful. I have seen personally, up close truly good hearted people on both sides. Who have been kind to me. Exceptionally kind. Then, there is that baddies too. The worst I think is this one individual who is a rabid Christian, I don't think he is truly a Christian because if he was, he wouldn't have done the things he did.
