The FDA has approved the first daily over the counter birth control pills. It's expected to be available in January/February of the new year and it won't have any age constrictions. I love this so much and I'm glad for all the young women who will now have that option, particularly now.

Me, too! Empowering women!
Now the responsibility of pregnancy and support, of a child, rests solely on the woman . . . not the man. If you can't afford to buy the pills, you obviously can't afford to support a child's needs.
Hopefully Planned Parenthood will distribute them for free, without restrictions or paperwork . . . just like condoms and lube. (PP currently provides free birth control pills to teens, under the Family Planning Benefit Program)

I did that as a teen/early 20's, their only requirement was that I get a checkup and in return they gave me a 6 month supply after each checkup.
As an aside, I've always thought that women who depend on the guy for protection are nuts!

If you think the FDA gives a shit about public safety, you may be an idiot.

Yep.
I was using PP for a period of time when I didn't have insurance and needed pills for endo. It was great and I donate to them now.
This is good news.
