It's ok. My cat let me sleep in until after 5 and when I woke up I discovered the fire had gone out and it's 24 out and I was chilly! But I made a new fire anyway.
And I think it is time for flannel sheets. It will be cold all week.

Then we can lick the ice cream.

I did it! My fire lasted all night long. I only had to throw wood on and didn't need to start a new fire this morning. Whew.

OMG OMG OMG
So I came home tonight and I started cleaning out some of the old ashes in the fireplace AND THERE WERE STILL coals! So I got some wood and this cardboard thing I got in the recycling bin and I started my fire, didn't even have to use a match.
I'm so fucking excited. LOL

I still need to chop some more kindling, either my ax isn't sharp enough or I'm not choosing the right logs to split
