If Halevi is dead it's a crushing blow to IDF morale, which was already low because many of the soldiers have businesses that are dying or have already died, and there's no end in sight to Bibi's multi-front war. Even if Halevi was only wounded it's still a severe blow because this was a precision attack deep into Israel, striking an elite brigade. Roughly 100 casualties, 10 severely wounded, 4 confirmed dead.
It was a very sophisticated drone which fired 1 or 2 rockets before dropping down and exploding. Fire cheap rockets and launch cheap drones to overwhelm the air defenses and the good stuff can strike any target in Israel. I think it will be a fair bit of time before a countermeasure can be developed, and time is something Israel is running out of. If they use nuclear weapons the likelihood if high that the state of Israel will no longer exist. The military will, but not the state. Bibi may not care at this point because he's going to prison if he loses power.

Wooooo. That's all very serious stuff. I missed a lot while taking a break from the news and reading social media. I discovered my mood is so much more laid back when I don't have a clue what is going on.

According to Ray McGovern, the Pentagon has been pushing back against the neocons in the Biden admin that want to go all-in with Israel against Iran. So far they've prevailed. Let's hope they continue to do so.

rothschild, they got Yahya Sinwar. I had read earlier today that most thought he had been killed, but all had been awaiting the results from the DNA in order to confirm. People are rejoicing. The dude was a fricken monster.

They wont get away with their crimes against humanity in Lebanon. We in Australia saw some reporting tonight and their indiscriminately killing civilians is being reported and condemned. Even if that dude was a sick evil man, the Israelis have committed far worse atrocities. It's disgusting that there is a double standard and that murder is murder but accountability is not equal.
One thing I have noticed, these Zionists have promoted antisemitism not fought it. People hate Israel after the violence they have inflicted on children and other innocent human beings. Pure evil and unforgivable.

The latest from the Middle East is the IDF has suffered very serious losses in Lebanon -- just like it did the last time it tried to invade -- and it's strike against Iran was hugely demoralizing because it failed to penetrate Iran's shiny, new air defenses. It also appears that this system can attack stealth aircraft, which is also devastating for the Pentagon because that's the centerpiece of it's military capabilities. The first strike pulled back halfway through because it didn't recognize the defense system, the other two strikes were consequently called off. Israel has declared victory but Gallant is also telling Israelis that serious concessions will have to be made to secure the release of the hostages that have suddenly become a priority. Good news for the hostages, bad news for Bibi who bet everything on total victory. But he has done something no one else has done before: he united the Shia and the Sunnis, and that's an amazing achievement.

I recall him making that statement about 3 months ago. The situation has badly deteriorated since then and Netanyahu's days are numbered, I expect that Trump will be pressuring him to step aside so Israel can regain it's footing, while it still can.
