I am inland and getting mostly rain, no snow, some wind. Family members closer to the coast have power outages and trees down.
I have a friend in Bellingham, WA. She has a hospitalized family member in Seattle so she’s been driving back and forth. Reading about the rain, hurricane force winds and 660k people w/out power…she’s fucked right now. Gotta check in with her.
Yeah, our winds won’t be as severe but we’re due for over 2” of rain in the next 24 hours and continued rain for a week. Not a fan.Makes me want to try doping my dog.

Da fuq is this 5 to 9 inches of heavy wet snow on Thanksgiving day that mother nature is throwing at us?

I saw the future radar and it looks like Clangy could be seeing some of that snow too.

I only saw rain for Thanksgiving in the forecast. I'm doing a bunch of driving, snow could make it more complicated and less fun.

We can't have that, Clang. Happy trails, kid.

Well if it doesn't snow, my cold will dampen my fun.

Shut up.
Actually I can’t complain TOO much. It’s cold as hell here at night and in the mornings (high 30’s/low 40’s) but warming up to low 60’s during the day. Aaannnddd, it’s not raining or windy. I can live with this (although a trip to warmer climates sounds lovely already).

Sounds lovely to me also. I couldn't warn up yesterday. We are having similar weather as you user only it isn't warming up to 60. It's 30's and 40's. Yesterday only 30's.
I think after I traveled to the west side where it is warmer it messed with my body temp.
Today I am wearing my thicker long underwear and 3 layers on top, not counting vest and down jacket.

It's snowing! Actually the first snow of the season. We were supposed to get snow on Thanksgiving, but we just got rain.

I miss my pool. We have a hot tub but it’s like just 30 feet too far from the house as far as I’m concerned (can’t bring myself to suffer the cold in between).
Last year I did 6-7 cold plunges in the pool. Painful and awesome after. I’ll probably do it again sometime this winter.
Mid 60’s during the day here. Lovely. Almost freezing in the night/morning.

I NEED you!!! I had a friend who moved away a couple years ago but she was ALL OVER our hot tub. She’d come over and I’d get over the cold, short walk there and back to hang out. My husband never goes in there even though he was insistent that we replace the one that was removed before we bought the house. It would be nice to have company.
IDK, I was almost inspired to go in it but even though we have it serviced weekly and drained/cleaned every 6 months, I just opened it up and it’s foamy in there which I know isn’t good (we used to have a product to remove foam but don’t see any in our shed now). Tomorrow. If I weren’t skeeved out by the foam, I would have used it tonight. Thank u.
