"the Revs": "Spiritual Counseling Network"
#72
To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint to your company regarding domain www.zahrabaker.com “Find Zahra Baker Fund” which is on your christianhosting.com server. Please be advised that this website is NOT sanctioned by the family, nor is it an official website for the family or created, operated or administrated by anyone with familial connection to Zahra Baker of Hickory, North Carolina.

Find Zahra Baker Fund is a fraudulent website designed to defraud an unsuspecting public. Zahra Baker is a 10-year old girl from Hickory, North Carolina who went missing on October 9, 2010. She has survived bone cancer and as a result of chemotherapy and radiation therapy her leg was amputated and she suffered hearing loss. Zahra is believed to be deceased at the hands of her father and stepmother as reported by the Hickory Police Department. People are generally kind and have become emotionally involved in this missing child case. As a result, they are more than willing to open their pocketbooks and their hearts to assist in the recovery effort. However, in this instance, the funds are NOT going to the Hickory Police Department. They are not going to a Crimestoppers fund. They are not being directed to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and they are not being directed to a neutral party for administration because of the allegations of impropriety. Instead, sloppily prepared Excel sheets are being prepared with donation amounts are being prepared with no real way to verify donations and they are going into a bank account operated by a business with a convicted thief board member.

The Find Zahra Baker Fund is being administrated by “Spiritual Counseling Network” who are hosted on your server at http://ncchristiancounselors.com/. Please be advised that this organization is not a legitimate non-profit organization per the Internal Registration Service which requires approval and license from the IRS after proper application and fees have been made. The administrator, Tim Curtis, claims to be a “nonprofit”, however, being registered as a not for profit corporation in a state does not give any business or organization non-profit status. Spiritual Counseling Network is NOT a registered 501(3)© with the Internal Revenue Service, thus it is not a properly registered non-profit organization and donations made to this organization are not "tax deductible". Curtis is utilizing chicanery and is falsely making this statement of being “nonprofit”.

The website was registered by Brandon Greeson. You may be interested to know his past history as a convicted felon per the Hickory Daily Recorder, the local newspaper in Hickory, NC, and a public records check. The Spiritual Counseling Network’s spokesman for Zahra Baker Fund, Rev. Brandon Greeson, was indicted on Jan. 7, 2008 for obtaining property by false pretenses and identity theft which involved credit cards in the commission of a crime. He is a thief. A thief who is now asking for credit card numbers utilizing YOUR services to do so. He is also still on probation. It is important to note he PLEAD GUILTY to these offenses.

http://www2.hickoryrecord.com/news/2010/...ar-465382/ This Walmart location was contacted and there is no such thing as the Walmart Outreach Fund. The store manager of the Hickory Store is very upset about saying Walmarts donated funds, and the Media Relations department and their Legal Department is investigating this matter further. Walmart has not donated and is not lending any credibility to Mr. Greeson. They have not endorsed nor do they support the Zahra Baker Fund. http://www.zahrabaker.com/fund.htm

This website also lists “counseling services”. I would like to make you aware of North Carolina law which states that it is a violation for a layperson to provide fee based counseling if they are not a licensed psychologist; to wit:

§ 90-381. Purpose. It is the purpose of this Article to protect the public safety and welfare by providing for the certification and regulation of persons engaged in the practice of fee-based pastoral counseling and pastoral psychotherapy. (1991, c. 670.)

Per their website: “Spiritual Counseling Network is an autonomous and independent non-profit ministry that is not subject to the control of any church, denomination, or other ecclesiastical body. The ministry is governed by a Board of Elders and is not subject to control by any government entity or agency.

We strive to provide quality, affordable and non-judgmental services to our community - most notably, Christian counseling. We do not provide professional mental health treatment, medication management or psychiatric treatment. However, we do provide services by counselors certified and licensed by the ministry.”

This information is UNTRUTHFUL. They state that they are a ministry who provide counseling, yet they do not provide mental health treatment. The URL of their site is ncchristianCOUNSELORS.com. In accordance to the laws of North Carolina governing counseling services, it states: The "practice of counseling" means holding oneself out to the public as a professional counselor offering counseling services that include, but are not limited to, the following:

* a. Counseling. – Assisting individuals, groups, and families through the counseling relationship by evaluating and treating mental disorders and other conditions through the use of a combination of clinical mental health and human development principles, methods, diagnostic procedures, treatment plans, and other psychotherapeutic techniques, to develop an understanding of personal problems, to define goals, and to plan action reflecting the client's interests, abilities, aptitudes, and mental health needs as these are related to personal-social-emotional concerns, educational progress, and occupations and careers. Source From "Dr. Curtis'" profile:

Dr. Timothy Curtis Director of Operations / Christian Counselor Dr. Timothy Curtis is co-founder of Spiritual Counseling Network. In 2009, Dr. Curtis was ordained as a minister with ULM. He went on to complete religious studies from ULM and was awarded a Doctorate of Divinity.

This information is also misleading. Mr. Curtis does not have a “Doctorate” of Divinity. He obtained his paper pretend degree from an online religious clearinghouse; the Universal Church of Life and paid $32.99 for his degree, and has NOT attended an accredited university to EARN this title.

We ask that you do the right thing and suspend the zahrabaker.com website for the reputation of your hosting company.

Please email your copy and pasted copy of this to [email protected]. They are providing hosting to these douchetards.
