As a very-close-to-heathen, I am also a Thanksgiving lover. Who doesn't like to look around the table and be honestly thankful for what they have? And who doesn't love that turkey sandwich in the middle of the night on very soft white bread with a little crunchy sea salt and pepper and mayo? (Don't bitch you crazy fucking mayo haters, there is something super fucked up Freudian about you if you don't like mayo.)
Thanksgiving is more about spending the time than about spending the money. The house will smell great and the candles will all be lit and music will be playing and wine will pouring. How could a holiday be more perfect?
I'm forcing my eastern views on my family for Christmas this year. I will still do the tree and trimmings, but I am only catching one Black Friday sale for the little people in my family. Everybody else will get cash with the instructions to pay off a bill with the money. I'm not buying them more crap to fill their homes with (except my son who wants Black Ops, but I figure that's battle training). I may be a total whore-bitch and have them give me a bill to pay for them. That would really drive the point home. Hmm. I will have to decide how much of a Grinch I can stand to be on Christmas.
