Leave the damn <.> key alone. Ellipsis (...) have three consecutive periods, never four, and should be used sparingly. They are used to indicate a pause in speech when used in the middle of a written piece. So unless you are really slow, a single period or comma will do. If you are insistent upon using an ellipsis, and you aren't doing math, use it at the end of your last sentence as it denotes you are drifting off into silence. Which might be a good thing. I can't tell yet.
