The best general they had for that situation was fired last summer. Now there is a guy that will do whatever is politically correct. But I have alot of faith in the military underbelly to protect our people there and that is the most important thing. We have better equipment and smarter soldiers. I would like to see a better government there though and dividing the country and letting it become a north/south type of environment may be the best thing. Draw a line in the sand and protect the line. Put all the Taliban on one side and let them starve to death. But countries like Iran will try to help them. I say draw the line and hold it. That would give our soldiers a reason for being there. Then give the good side as much economic help as they can get, then let them prosper, look at north and south Korea. Which side is more economicaly sound?


But I really hate being an armchair warrior, I am not there and do not really know what is best. I only see what the media lets me see and do not know the real hardships of that war and can only guess from all the other wars and their outcomes.
