Two thousand is too busy. "Twenty" is easier.

How many people did you ever hear say nineteen hundred and eleven" or "nineteen hundred eleven". It was just nineteen eleven.

Let's see if we can't all get on the same page by twenty twenty.

Twenty-twenty would be two-thousand, twenty. Nineteen hundred and eleven would be one thousand nine hundred eleven (following that logic).
