the DNA samples are routine.
but ol' Sparky is the master of doublespeak!
Investigators are following leads of "possible criminal intent" in the disappearance of Hailey Dunn, Senior DPS Trooper Sparky Dean said this morning.
This comes after Sunday's news conference in which Dean said investigators hadn't found evidence of foul play.
"I'm confident we'll find Hailey," Dean said on Sunday. "I don't think Hailey wants to be found. I believe she's hiding. She's probably scared at this point. We're going to find her."
Their primary mission has been to find Hailey "standing up," he said.
In the event she is found deceased, Hailey's parents, Clint Dunn and Billie Dunn, have submitted DNA samples, Dean confirmed. Those will be used to identify remains.
If any evidence in the case is uncovered, that will not be shared with the public, Dean said on Sunday.
