So tell me, would you be upset if you found your hubby doing the same with your stuff?

My husband? Clean? I'd probably die of a heart attack from the shock before I even had a chance to get pissed.

I see your point (or maybe it's your wife's point). It just hasn't been a problem here (yet). Too much stuff--I haven't gotten caught.

I took my husband's childhood sentimental stuff and put it in a plastic hope chest in the garage.
