I'm curious- I've seen that you have interest in public vigils and teddy bear/balloon memorial info, why?
Does it have anything to do with perps showing up at these sorts of things?
When tragedy strikes, especially horrific and unexpected tragedies, there is usually a bonding moment allowing the community to come together as a whole. Memorials assist in this "wholeness".
If the victims are innocents, well-loved or widely respected, the more lavish the display(s).
As to perps showing up . . . I'd wager they visit internet sites before physical memorials.
So . . . if no memorials, what statement does that make about the community or the victims?
Where should the memorials be set up? On the Straubs front porch? I see memorials from time to time around here, usually for people killed in car accidents. I wouldn't know where to leave a memorial in this case & I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable invading the Straubs neighborhood or home. I don't feel like the lack of memorials have to do with how people feel about the victims but rather, JC & LS were killed at their home in the suburbs.
