“We need these people because they do the jobs Americans refuse or are unwilling to do!”
This is a common argument and battle cry (‘round these here parts) for hiring illegal immigrants and ultimately citizenship.
I posed this question, many times to those offering the “Americans refuse or unwilling to do” justification:
“If 'these people' become citizens . . . as Americans . . . won’t they now refuse or be unwilling to do these jobs, too?”
My two favorite responses to the question:
1.) No . . . that’s different.
2.) You’re a racist.
Bidnez loves ‘em sum cheap ass labor! Makes no never mind da color of da Boss Man.
Or the color of the worker.
