(local channel switches debate from LE incompetency to get away driver). In response: The person driving the van will most likely be another lost teen, if it is anyone past 25 yrs old, then please punish accordingly. It's hard to determine from her innocent professional photo w/ teddy bear(strangely in the same outfit she disappeared in), if she plays into the life around her or is trying to escape it, usually a little of both. Too many inconsistencies, the police took a beating in media for not issuing alert, we should trust them a bit more.... But either way she is a victim! I am not passing judgement, but for me (she is 12) the interview and actions of the family speak louder than the words. I am glad she is safe for now, but she has a long journey of confusion ahead of her. This family seems to have given up on themselves, but survival instincts force them to keep on living. The tell-tale of stronger issues at hand is in the fight of their younger generations. We hope we can provide some kindness and help so they can yield positive results not duplicate the cycle. -----!!!!Some families are real victims of unexpected pain, other families create victims and in many cases will also create future perps. I was able to maneuver my escapes by 15yrs (not surprised new generation can do it faster), keep in mind that most would not leave a stable and supporting environment. Glad, but sad outcome. Hope she & the family "find and accept" the help they need.
