i understand this is the first online forum for some.
so...you will find your profile by clicking on your own username.
ALSO
at top right of any page you will see USER CP (control panel).
in your control panel are very clear options for avatar, signature, etc. you can set your acct. settings there.
upper right corner example, (PMs link there also):
