And, that is unfortunate. Because of kneejerk, emotional reactions, nobody says, "hmm, what is transhumanism and how could the movement for gay rights be used to advance that?".
People are easy to manipulate. Take anything they care about, hijack it, and use it to advance something else. Happens all the time.
