Yes, there is the shock value and making money, but what do you think the impact of that is on, say, tween girls? How about seeing it frequently? There was an MTV or VH1 "reality" show with some female singer who they put in a setting with a harem of hot girls. It was about her picking the final partner, with lots of making out and the usual low brow sexual stuff. Then in "real life" this singer became engaged to some girl, who ended up committing suicide. The singer, who has blogged about her experiences and the manipulation by her handlers, is not even really gay. If you introduce this confusing shit to young kids, coupled with school programs pushing this shit, yeah, you can't turn someone gay but what do you think the result is? Not saying I know but just asking what the purpose is? How does confusing gender issues advance understanding for those who really are gay?
