Yes, there is a difference. Flaming is more in your face insulting while mocking is more subtle (and requires more brain power).

I think the real difference you're trying to point out is that you don't like people who suck at flaming. And that is fine, just sprout a pair and say it outright instead of hiding behind elitism.

ALL caps is quite profane causing some of us intestinal migraines. Try
giving yourself a shot of imitrex in that meandering canal! We enjoy
nit picking and figuring out truth from gossip. We aren't very good at
tolerating people who explain in detail cleaning their kids' fecal matter
off the wall.....Too much information. It is nice if you know the
difference between there, their, and They're and hear, here. Too and
to don't bother us very much.

All in all, we are a civil group with quite odd fetishes too. You see,
I like penquin feathers and enjoy the moments I can post between two
of them.
