in case you thought i was kidding...right. i'm going to 'molest' the alligators.
but some assholes do. they feed them raw chickens and then wonder why the mean old 'gators ate their poodles.

Palm Harbor, Florida - A Florida Fish and Wildlife trapper removed a seven foot long gator from a Lansbrook retention pond after it ate a family dog.

Gage, a 9-year-old Boxer, was last seen on Saturday when he ran off from the family home.

Neighbors say they've been on the look out for the friendly dog since, but the search came to a devastating end when a woman walking her dog discovered Gage in a retention pond across
from his home.

Jenine Oliver says she only noticed the animal in the water because the gator made a sudden jump back into the water when she walked by with her own dog on their normal morning walk.

Alligators aren't anything new in the Palm Harbor community.

Oliver says she's pretty sure it's the same gator they've seen sunning itself on the banks of the small retention pond that sits between the Mullenhurst Drive culdesac and Lake Tarpon.

Florida Fish and Wildlife say this is a reminder that the gators are on the move again now that temperatures are warming up.

Capt. Roger Young with FWC says alligators do not attack humans unprovoked and warned people to stay away from the creatures and enjoy them from a distance.

He also advises you to stay away from the water's edge of any pond, lake or stream during the hours around sunrise and sunset because this is the natural feeding time for a gator.
