Racehorses are commodities nothing more, as soon as they lose their potential to make money it's a one way trip to the glue/dogfood factory.
Only people like Duch offer them any kind of life after their racing days are over.
Same with greyhound racing in the UK, as soon as they outlive their usefulness they are abandoned.
