Catholic terrorism in Northern Ireland
#32
Here is the history in a nutshell: Cromwell conquered Ireland. The King gave the land to Protestant lords as reward for their service. Over time, the natives were dispossessed of their land and livelihood. They were made vagabonds in their own land.

Though war, where the Catholics were led by Michael Collins, the Empire was forced to grant sovereignty to the South, while keeping the industrial north.

It will end when Ireland is united under the majority rule of the entire population (the VAST majority of which is Catholic), which will probably occur as a result of population growth, without any more blood being shed.

With that in mind, the struggle takes on a different context.

However, it seems to me that the that the killers REALLY had to stretch things to declare this man a target.

May he rest in peace. THAT is just murder, plain and simple.

FYI: I am an Irish Catholic, in case there was any doubt.
