Offenders DO still sometimes escape from maximum security prisons, plus I don't see why the taxpayer should pay for 40 years bed and board for a murdering or child molesting piece of shit.

The death penalty shouldn't be a costly long and drawn out legal mess, it should be swift and good value for money. The cost of a rope and a gallows.

Agreed (for once) on the death penalty thing being a long, drawn-out process..that usually ends up costing the taxpayers 100's of 1000's of dollars through the appeals process. That's one thing I admire about some countries that we consider "barbaric"...you're sentenced to death..execution is carried out immediately.

And no, what your countrymen assert is not irrelevant..as you consistently lump the opinions/stereotypes of some Americans and take that to voice your opinion/perception of what all Americans are like (although, I think you're more intelligent than that, and primarily use things in a weak-ass attempt to stir the shitpot on a message board)
