TAMPA --
The Tampa woman accused of murdering her two teenage children has new representation.
Bay area lawyer Arnold Levine is now representing Julie Schenecker in the wrongful death civil lawsuit filed against her this week by her husband, Parker Schenecker.
According to Bay News 9's partner newspaper the St. Petersburg Times, Levine said he also will defend Schenecker's murder charges if a divorce judge awards her marital assets.
Still, several issues surrounding the case remain in limbo.
A $1.2 million estate, a requested $200,000 marital asset payment are among them. Also, officials must determine if Julie Schenecker's murder charges will result in the prosecution pursuing the dealth penalty.
The issues may start to be worked out at a May 20 hearing on the case.
Julie Schenecker, 50, is accused of shooting her 13-year-old son, Beau, and 16-year-old daughter, Calyx, each twice in the head on Jan. 27.
