Grade school teachers suck!

Not so with home schooling, parents are more intense throughout the process and those kids get the best as the parents are more involved.

I think if I tried to home school my kids they'd be dumb as dirt. I just don't have the patience or discipline to do that. But, I'm hugely involved in my kid's education. I know all the teachers by name, I volunteer a ton of time, I know if/when my kids do well (or don't) on an assignment. The PTA alternately quivers and thanks me when they see me.

I don't think you have to home school to be involved.
