Texas...the bodies of 30 children?!
#5
sounds like some nutjob watched too many Texas Chainsaw Murder movies. hah

Fox
HARDIN, Texas - "There is no indication of bodies in the residence, the shed or anywhere on the property," said Captain Rex Evans with the Liberty County Sheriff's Office. The statement was in response to information submitted by a woman who claimed to be a psychic, contacted the Sheriff's Office and described the existence of many bodies of dismembered children on a property. The description led to a joint investigation between several local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

Liberty County Judge Craig McNair said the self-professed psychic first called deputies Monday night and later contacted them Tuesday with a thorough description of the property. Investigators closed the intersection of County Road 2048 and County Road 2049 in Hardin for much of Tuesday afternoon and evening, according to a news report from The Cleveland Advocate.

Blood was found on the back porch door of the home on the property, FOX 26 has learned, but the discovery was related to an altercation that took place a few weeks before.

Deputies told FOX 26 there was an odor coming from the backyard of the home, which is leased to a couple who work as long-haul truck drivers.

The combination of blood and the odor led investigators order a warrant to search the house.

Texas Rangers arrived after 7 p.m. to serve a search warrant to access the home.

An FBI spokeswoman confirmed with FOX 26 early Tuesday evening that the agency was assisting Liberty County Sheriff's Office investigators after a report of mass graves found in Hardin north of Daisetta.

Sheriff's deputies began to investigate a home on CR 2048 acting on information they were alerted to Tuesday afternoon, but had to wait until the search warrant was issued.

A cadaver dog was brought to assist in the search effort for as many as 30 bodies, according to The Cleveland Advocate.

Law enforcement officers are trying to find the woman who first contacted Liberty County investigators and was able to describe with accuracy some odd features of the interior of the house, which is why investigators gave some more weight to her call. The Liberty County Sheriff's Office plans to visit with the County Attorney's and District Attorney's offices to determine whether the woman will face any criminal charges.

Authorities say there was no evidence of illegal activity in the house.
