I might add, why would anyone be the least bit surprised that US politicians lie. We pay them to lie.

We pay them to lie?

So . . . possible, probable or confirmed improper conduct, by either party, is to be accepted by the taxpayers and ignored by the judiciary . . .because we pay these people to lie?

And the perjury laws . . . eliminate them, too? Cops and crooks are doin' what needs to be done. Why let the truth interfere.

Next . . . pull the plug on IRS audits. C'mon . . . everybody cheats on their taxes!

Let's just eliminate the whole swearing-in charade. It doesn't really mean anything. Besides . . . it'll give our representatives more time to pursue their own needs.

I guess mediocrity is the new definition of "excellence".

Or at least one you find acceptable.
