LUDINGTON — Sean Michael Phillips isn't a monster, but rather a devoted father who left his friends behind to focus on his children, according to the mother of 4-month-old baby Katherine Shelbie-Elizabeth Phillips, who's been missing since June 29.
“I've never seen him treat her badly — ever," Ariel Courtland said of Michael Phillips and the baby, known as Kate. "He held her, threw her up in the air playing with her, and he kissed her, he changed her diaper.
