When Casey Anthony is released from the Orange County Jail — which is expected to happen next week — she will still be bound by the rules of her probation.
She will be on probation for one year, for a felony check-fraud case to which Anthony pleaded guilty in early 2010.
She was credited for time already served in that case.
According to court documents, terms of Anthony's probation call for her to:
•Meet with her probation officer on the fifth day of every month.
•Pay $20 per month toward the cost of supervision, plus a 4 percent surcharge.
•Not change her residence or employment or leave the county without first getting consent from her probation officer.
•Not "use intoxicants to excess." She cannot visit places where intoxicants, drugs or other dangerous substances are unlawfully sold, dispensed or used.
•"Work diligently at a lawful occupation and support any dependents to the best of your ability."![]()
•Answer her probation officer's questions promptly.
•Not possess marijuana or other controlled substances.
•Not knowingly associate with others engaged in criminal acts.
I'm curious, LC...will she be allowed to change her name one day? Not sure if felons can do that?
If I was her..that would be #1 on my list...with #2 being getting the fuck out of Florida as soon as probation was complete.
