Port Orange investigators are looking for a woman they say may have snatched her grandson from his aunt's house in the Sunset Cove subdivision, police said.
Capt. Frank Surmaczewicz said the youngster -- 5-year-old Elijah Holbin-Hudson -- was likely taken by his maternal grandmother, 49-year-old Laurine Sue Arnold. The latter, whom police have not been able to contact, has a home in Spring Hill, Surmaczewicz said.
Police said Michigan authorities, through the Florida Department of Children & Families, placed Elijah in his aunt's custody. Elijah is initially from Michigan, police said.
