Damn! I just posted a lenghty comment only to have it disappear when I checked on the spelling of a word I wasn't sure of. I forget to look to see if a have a PM. My parents saved everything even the sturdy cardboard in a roll of paper towels. My mom was always sure that someone would need one for something. They owned 5 nice cars in my lifetime and payed cash for them. They were well taken care of and lasted on average 14-15 yrs before being passed on. My dad kept a a file with tabs on each vechicle. They never had a credit card. My mother sewed, for 4 of us (from underwear to coats) and I never had a store coat until I was out of HS. They would be APPALLED at the way things are today. In all ways. Hey, My dad had a 1936 Pontiac and bought a new one in 1950. So, I got to drive the "36" to HS. It had running boards and a rubber bladed fan on the dash to defog the windows. I picked up my friends at the bus stop and had a can in the back seat for them to put their nickel in. Gas was about 25 or 30 cents in the 50's Last, but not least, bake glasses in a cake???? About 30 yrs ago, I bought a BD cake for a male friend. It was a nice big choclate cake. The baker showed me exactly where to have him cut into the cake. When he did a big choclate penis slid out. Now, I wonder if anybody will ever PM me again. LOL Gosh, I wish I could have figured out how to send a pic of my jet boat!
