I get the 1 night stand/emotional thing, but I'm with Cracker on this one. Not going to put up with either one. And...how do you know if it's just a one night stand...because he says so...
If you accept a one night stand one time, then that just gives him permission (in his mind) that it's okay to fuck any barfly that comes his way...as long as there's no emotional attachment.
Most one night stands are going to come from the local hole in the wall bar/night club/ strip joint down the street. And I'm sure the barfly hasn't ever picked anyone else up from the same bar...they just both happened to be at the same bar drowning their sorrows and being each others therapist for a few hours.
I guess I'm the only one that thinks about the probability of catching an STD from a one night stand. In all likelihood, it happened before you found out and you've already had sex with him and then you're just shit outta luck. But being okay with it and him doing it again is just opening up your vagina for a whole host of nasty critters and puss filled lesions.
