I made that much in high school. How do people live off that and why don't they find something else to do? That always amazes the hell out of me...
Because then they wouldn't be able to collect their Section 8 housing vouchers, food stamps and free lunches! Hell, why bother actually working?
On another note, most people that worked construction or development in Georgia are making substantially less than they did a few years ago. I am making less than 1⁄2 what I did 3 years ago. Probably close to 1⁄3 if you figure in lost benefits but honestly I feel blessed to be working at all. I want my gubment freebies too!!!
A friend of mine was given the option of taking a 40% pay cut or a pink slip last week. He told me he was considering a bullet to the head instead.
