i am pretty stunned by this. i didn't know the lady, but Sheriff Judd is someone i greatly admire. how tragic for the Dept. that i know is like a family.

A Florida man drove to a police station and handed himself in saying 'lock me up' after he allegedly beat his wife to death with a baseball bat.
According to police, Lawrence Dickey, 44, killed his wife Beatrice, a sheriff's official, in the master bedroom of their home in Plant City after they returned home from a Saturday night concert.
Dickey allegedly came home, woke up a son sleeping on a couch, hugged him and said 'I love you, your mother is an angel and you will get through this'.
