It's difficult to explain freedom to those who never had it. When you take away their free will to take care of themselves, they want the same for everyone.
Maybe it's because they feel gypped and think their misery should be spread to one and all? I don't know.
I do know that I like my freedom and it didn't come handed to me on a plate. I appreciate everything I have and even the things I dont' have.
I don't want some shit "spreading the wealth" to make things even. I have had money and I have lost money. I grew up dirt poor. I earned my own way and I don't like the idea of me getting someone's hard earned cash because I don't have any. I don't like my hard earned cash taken from me to give to someone who won't get off their ass and earn it. I know both sides of this spectrum. Socialism or "sharing wealth" only makes for lazy societies. They have no incentive to strive for more. Just enough is good enough for those who think this is the way.
I don't own an gun but I like to know that if I wanted to I can buy one. These anti gun nuts think that all of us are running around pointing guns at each other and killing one another off. I assure you we are not.
The laws of statistics will always give the skewed view that more Americans are dying because of guns than "over there". So I ignore that dumb argument.
It's like saying back ing 1945 there were less car fatalities than there are today. Well duh! of course because there are more people and cars today than then!
Take away the guns, the criminals will still get one. They'll make home made guns. They'll buy those fun cell phone guns from where? the UK.
They'll make them out of a chunk of wood, a hammer and some bullets.
They'll find other ways to kill each other too. It doesn't matter. People by nature are violent. Throw in a twisted mind and the abilty to gain a weapon and they'll kill.
Maybe these people should actually read our constitution before they shoot their mouth off telling us how to be free? It's really pretty easy to read and understand... give it a whirl.
