"In the early evening hours of Thursday investigators from the Nebraska State Patrol and the FBI were notified by a local rancher alerting them to an area that he felt needed to be examined. The area was located several miles north of Mitchell. Upon their arrival investigators located what is believed to be the body of 8-year-old Kerra Wilson."

Among other things, am wondering what (if anything) the above mentioned "local rancher" (fancy term 'round here for farmer) may have seen/heard/known -- for him to have alerted LE as soon as he did. If it hadn't been for his doing that, Kerra may never have been found. And her POS stepfreakfather wouldn't have then admitted what he did.
Out here in Nebraska, rural as it is, there's not much around for miles and miles. I stood outside the night she went missing, after hearing about it on the news... thinking.. oh my Lord, how in heck will they find her? Where to even begin? How/what/why did that farmer know Kerra might be on his property?
The things peeps wanna know...
We might hear more details soon, cuz the stepfreakfather was due in court today.
