Very true. I re-read the facts thread the other day and was struck by a comment made by Johnny's aunt, Maggie Cromer, who I believe is Maytee's sister.

Asked if Mr. Clarke hung around with some bad people, Mr. Cromer said: "Who don't?''

I thought, hmm, not me. Not any of my kids growing up. If they got around bad people, I set them straight. My mantra while raising them was always to hang out with the kind of kids that you want to become like. And I had to like them too.

Correction: It was Mr. Cromer who said that, not his wife.
