All religions have their quirky beliefs. Even the most mainstream ones.
But athiesm is based upon more faith and beliefs than any mainstream religion today.
I can see the point of many agnostics. I can't say I've got any answers. My faith is my faith mainly due to geography.
But athiests claim science, yet science states that which is not proven false must be considered as a possibility so since science cannot disprove existence of an omnipotent being it thus must be considered as viable. Yet there is more proof of an omnipotent being than that against one. Such as the moral imperative.
The moral imperative is that which occurs in nature despite Natural Law. Natural Law as being laws that would be in existence without the need of an omnipotent being. Yet every intelligent society has had a moral imperative. Granted this doesn't Prove the existence of an omnipotent being but it gives creedence to the belief that one exists. On the flip side everything that has been attempted to disprove creationism or the existence of an omnipotent being has not proven it and instead created more questions.
Additionally without an omnipotent being everything would be meaningless. Yet with an omnipotent being everything has meaning. Our conscience tells us that everything has meaning... etc. I think therefore I am.
