I think he would have overdosed know matter who the doctor was. Conrad was just the one he died under the care of. He was very ill from his addiction to these drugs. Just like any other drug addict that use to much. Sorry just my opinion.

The difference being, most normal addicts wouldn't be under the "care" of a doctor. They'd get their meds from various sources etc. There was a clear trail between Michael and Conrad Murray that you wouldn't typically get with a street addict. CM supplied the drugs and totally violated his oaths as a doctor. Guilty.

I hated watching the trial though. Conrad had a perpetual and pathetic
