apparently you didn't get the memo.
a simple question about the animals, what did they evolve from?
Apparently, I added a bit to my last post after you quoted it. Not important though. To answer you:
Yes, I think everyone who thinks they picked the one true and right organized religion from all the choices is taking on an intellectually bankrupt position. I don't believe there is sufficient reason or evidence to believe that any one of the organized religions are true.
As for your animal evolution questions - please Google it. There you can find all the info you need depending upon which animal, or animal class, you are talking about.
Here is a handy dandy graphic to get you started:

You know as well as I do, that evolution is a theory and not proven science, you do know that right?
Just the same as the theory of creation is unproven nor is it dis proven by science, there are far too many gaps in any study to be conclusive.
You are as far as I can tell with your rejection of creation the same as those who rest firmly in the theory of creation all of your eggs in one basket.
evolution/adaptation is an acceptable middle ground, extremes either way are fucked up.
Not realizing that things can and do evolve is either lazy ignorance or religious-sourced damage on your part. I'm not sure which. You don't seem to understand what a scientific theory is and how it differs from the common usage of the word theory. Please Google something like "Is evolution a fact or theory" or "what is a scientific theory?" Here is a helpful tidbit to get you started from:
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/evolution-fact.html
Biologists consider the existence of biological evolution to be a fact. It can be demonstrated today and the historical evidence for its occurrence in the past is overwhelming ... Well evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape-like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered.
Here is more from http://www.bestbiblescience.org/theory.htm
Consider the well-known phenomenon of gravity. First, there is a fact of gravity. While we cannot actually see gravitational force itself, we do observe the effects of this force every time we drop something. There is also a theory of gravity that addresses the question of how this force we call gravity really works.
I have heard many Christians say that evolution doesn't concern them because, after all, it's "only a theory." Presumably they think that the word "theory" means about the same thing as a "pipe dream." But the term theory, at least as it applies to experimental science, has a much nobler meaning than that. A scientific theory is a careful attempt to explain certain observable facts of nature by means of experiments
I suggest you Google your heart out to learn what it really means to be a scientific theory, and how it is just explaining facts. You can pick any website info site you want, I just picked the first two that allowed for convenient cut and paste.
