Dude, the American Indians are mostly too drunk to complain. Or they're taking money from gambling institutions. Or, if they're lucky, they're drunk and collecting from their casinos.

I wouldn't hold American Indians up as a shining example of success.

ignorant and your stereotyping generalization shows me have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

I know what they have actually achieved.

When you're done defending your lame comparison example, you too can answer this:

How long - how many years or generations - do you feel is long enough for a race previously enslaved then widely discriminated against to become just as "successful" as their oppressors?

It's entirely up to those people how long it takes them, they can sit their asses on welfare, and deal drugs and be thugs for generations or they can actually do something of worth and shorten the time which it will take.

Society as a whole cannot speed up or slow down the process it's not our fault if they choose to remain oppressed.

That's a lame non-answer basically since you keep acting like it's been too long. Would you still be saying this one generation after it was illegal for Blacks to get an equal education and at least not be outwardly denied jobs due to skin color? You keep acting like they have no excuse because it has been long enough or something. As if you are surprised by how that lot turned out even given the past. That implies you expected them to be over it by now. If you can't come up with a time frame, or can't say two generations is too long, you should probably stop pretending that they are tardy or unreasonable in having great systemic difficulty and dysfunction. Unless, of course, it just makes you feel better.
