wrong shit bird, the lids are rubber sealed, they don't need to be held down by anything but the vaccum created when the jars cool.
The rings have rubber and wax twinkie. Why take off the screw top lids? Just because? It serves no purpose to take them off. If the jar gets bumped they could unseal.
