I don't think it is bullshit. Don't have kids if you don't have the money to raise them in a decent manner. They give the parents several months notice for field trips. That is plenty of time to raise $15.

From my experience, field trips that include everybody (not the fancy overnight ones, just the ones that happen during the school day) have the cost of nonpayers built in. Many schools around here had to stop going places and had to start having visitors instead because HALF of the kids' parents don't want to pay and that was too much of a burden on the other parents. Only one of those families really didn't have the money, the rest just know that other parents will pay for their kid.

Many parents are fucked up. That's why schools/kids are fucked up. It isn't some cosmic mystery. People have kids to get the monthy check (welfare or child support) but don't want to actually spend any of the money on the kids.

Fuck that shit. All I'm saying is I'm not paying $15 for my youngest to go to the zoo when I know damn well it costs $5 to get in.
