It's bullshit when it's the kids that suffer and not the parents that put them in that position.
I used to think that, and still do about about a small minority of "poor" kids, but most are wearing $200 shoes and have smartphones and name brand clothes. The new "poor" is not having to pay your own rent.
Teachers know who is truly needy and build that in, no more than 5% of kids in a typical town school. Half will still not pay because they don't value education or learning experiences. Ghetto schools shouldn't even plan field trips.
Honestly, poor kids are usually the ones who DO have the money and give the most to charity fundraisers. It is the POS selfish lower middle class that doesn't want to pay, the ones who could EASILY pay.
Ideas about education are rarely ths same as what actually goes on. You would be pissed if you knew how people really are, Duchess. We have a member here who bitches about paying $10 for a field trip but has been known to post about expensive purses. That is what we mean when we say some white people act like niggers.
