When my dad was dying, he demonstrated honor/grace like I'd NEVER seen it before. I was so proud of his courage and sense of humor....to the end. He wrote an email to everyone he knew when he was diagnosed (about 6 weeks before he died). "No sympathies please, I've had a good roll".
When it was time, my dad gave a thumbs up for that last dose of morphine. He knew.
Some people are amazing.
