That is your opinion. Who said anything about anger? I said a few licks. That isn't anger, that is punishment- controlled punishment.
You can project your stereotypes on me if you wish, no matter to Cracker. The thing I am most proud of is my grown kids telling others they had a happy childhood. They knew the boundaries. Sometimes they tested the boundaries. The boundaries were consistently enforced. That makes kids feel safe.
Some kids are docile and never need correction. Some kids are independent thinkers and need a little more handling. I was never afraid to make my kids do the right things until they internalized that concept. Mine were smart enough to play the system if I let them. I didn't.
I think people who hit little kids are monsters. Never hit a little kid. That is sickening to me. Corporal punishment should only be used as a last resort AFTER kids are old enough to know better (school age). You should be ashamed for hitting a four year old. "No, no, no" until you are old enough to be out of the house at school all day. What the hell is wrong with you?
