As speculation surrounding music legend Whitney Houston's death grows, Nancy Grace insists there may be a more sinister plot in play.

The TV hostess and legal commentator appeared on CNN this afternoon to weigh in on the singer’s death.

She said: 'I'd like to know who was around her, who, if anyone gave her drugs - following alcohol and drugs - and who let her slip, or pushed her, underneath that water? Apparently, no signs of force or trauma to the body...'

Grace then added: 'Who let Whitney Houston go under her water?'

CNN later distanced itself from Grace’s comments, as anchor Don Lemon said: 'That is not CNN's reporting. We don't know that to be true.'
