I got my 22 year old nephew a second hand guitar when he visited me a few months ago. He had it restrung and says he's been practicing. He started trying to play by ear, but he's more of an analytical type and having much better luck reading music. I promised him I would sing a song for a special occasion coming up in July if he learned something. The guest of honor likes James Taylor, Bread, acoustic Dylan, Neil Young.. I don't wanna sing (totally mediocre), but it's such a nice thought, I'll do it. Any recommendations for fairly easy song(s) to learn on guitar that also don't require strong vocals to pull off? I love Heart of Gold by Neil Young. Doable for a fast-learning beginner to master on guitar in several months?
