Nowak has some minor drug and theft charges in her past, but police will not say if they suspect a crime in Perdomo's disappearance.
Meanwhile, Perdomo's family and coworkers are doing what they can to help. His wife is already in Maine and on Friday, two firefighters will join her to help.
Lt. Dave Williams is one of the firefighters heading to Maine to help in the search.
"We've got a missing brother who needs to be found and there's an empty hole at the station in our hearts," said Williams. "He would do the same thing for me and he knows I would do the same thing for him."
WFTV reporter Jeff Deal is in Maine and made contact with Perdomo's brother, who was very upset and said that family members fear for his life.
