That statement kinda bothers me in that it speaks to the issue I have when people don't take personal responsibility for their actions. He's a young man, I have to believe he knew full well the consequences of his actions.

that's lawyer-speak for "we're going to look at an insanity defense". Ohio WILL deem him an adult for trial. but since he's under 18, the most he can get is LWOP. if he had reached his 18^th birthday, they could and would sentence him to death.
